ServiceTitan alternatives that show you a price first.

ServiceTitan is built for multi-technician trade companies, and for a big shop with a dispatcher, a CSR desk and a payroll department it does a lot. If you run 1 to 10 trucks and want to see what you'd pay before you book a demo, these are the alternatives that fit.

Who ServiceTitan is for, and what the buying process looks like

ServiceTitan sells to residential and commercial specialty contractors with multiple technicians, mostly HVAC, plumbing, electrical and roofing. Even its Starter plan lists dispatching, call booking, a pricebook, mobile estimates, payroll management, commission tracking, memberships and reporting. That's a full back office.

What makes smaller shops look elsewhere is how you buy it, not what it does. ServiceTitan publishes no prices: its pricing page describes per-technician pricing tailored to your business, quoted through sales. Its terms of use refer to a minimum subscription level for the subscription term, and its help docs refer to a minimum of 3 managed technicians. Onboarding runs in stages (pre-implementation, implementation, go live), with implementation services delivered under a statement of work.

For a 25-tech company with a dedicated office, that process makes sense. For an owner who still runs calls, it's a lot of commitment before you know the number. The tools below publish their prices, or at least serve a smaller buyer. For the two-way comparison, see Redline vs ServiceTitan.

Be honest about the gap

Redline is not a smaller ServiceTitan. It does less, on purpose.

ServiceTitan has, Redline doesn't

  • A pricebook
  • Payroll and commission tracking
  • Customizable memberships
  • Call booking
  • Advanced reporting

Redline has, without a sales process

  • A Free plan you can open tonight
  • Published prices: Solo $29, Team $129, Team+ $299 a month
  • Extra seats on Team+ at $29 each, added on the web
  • Change or cancel anytime
  • Techs who never see job values, quotes or invoices

Questions contractors ask

How much does ServiceTitan cost?

ServiceTitan doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page describes per-technician pricing set through its sales team, and its terms refer to a minimum subscription level. Ask for the full number, including implementation, before you sign.

Can Redline run a 25-tech shop?

Probably not well. Team+ covers 10 seats and you can add more, but there's no pricebook, payroll, memberships or call booking, which a shop that size leans on. Crews of 11 or more can book a call with Redline to talk it through.

Can Redline handle maintenance memberships?

It schedules them, not bills them. Book the spring and fall visits as a repeating series and save the cadence as a preset. You invoice each visit or the agreement yourself. See HVAC maintenance agreements.
