Redline vs Jobber: start free, run it by chat.

Redline has a Free plan with no end date: the AI chat, your contacts, the job pipeline and a calendar that finds open slots, for $0. Jobber starts with a 14-day trial and paid plans. Here is how they compare, including where Jobber is the better pick.

The short version

Redline is chat-first field service software. On the Free plan you message it like an office manager: add a lead, find a time for an estimate, build a quote from a photo. When you're ready to bill, Solo at $29 a month adds invoices and card pay links. Team adds a dispatch board when you hire.

Jobber is field service management software that combines quoting, scheduling, job management, invoicing, payments and customer communication. It's built for home and commercial service businesses from solo operators to multi-crew outfits, and it lists more than 50 industries, with a lot of its own material aimed at lawn care, landscaping and cleaning. Its plans step up from Core to Connect, Grow and Plus, and its AI voice and chat tools sit inside the app next to the usual screens.

On price, Jobber's pricing page lists Core at $29 a month billed annually for 1 user, or $49 a month with no commitment. Connect is listed at $99 and Grow at $149 a month billed annually for 1 user, and Jobber Plus starts at $399 a month billed annually for up to 5 users. The trial is 14 days with no card.

  • You want techs on an app where they never see prices (Team and up)

Questions contractors ask

Is Redline a free alternative to Jobber?

For the front office, yes. Free covers the chat, contacts, pipeline, calendar and quotes by chat for one person, with no end date. Invoicing and card payments start on Solo at $29 a month. If you're weighing other options too, see Jobber alternatives.

How do the prices line up for one person?

Jobber's pricing page lists Core at $29 a month billed annually, or $49 with no commitment. Redline Solo is $29 a month with no commitment, or $23 a month billed yearly. For three people, Redline Team is $129 a month; Jobber's team pricing depends on the plan and team size, so check their page.

Can I bring my Jobber customer list over?

Not by import. Redline has no contact import today. You add customers by chat ("add Paul Henderson, 508-555-0119, Shrewsbury") or by hand. Start with the customers you are working for this month and add the rest as they call.

Can customers book themselves into Redline like they can with Jobber?

No. Redline has no online booking. The closest thing is your Pro Page, where a customer sends a quote request that lands in Contacts as a lead.

Try the chat before you pay for anything.

Redline's Free plan has no end date. Add your next three customers and see if running the office by message suits you.
