Gutter software for leaf season.
Every October the calendar fills, the rain moves half of it, and the customers you cleaned last year are waiting for a call. Redline works the backlog by town, quotes the guards while you're still on the ladder, and brings last year's houses back around.
Off the ladder at the Murphys
Invoice draft for Sean Murphy: gutter cleaning 160 linear ft and 4 downspout flushes, $285.
Guard quote: 160 ft of guards plus 6 replacement hangers, $1,920 with your usual 30% deposit. Review both?
Invoice approved, the pay link is ready to copy or email. Reminder set for Friday: call Murphy about guards.
Invoices are on Solo and up. Redline remembered the 30% deposit from earlier quotes.
How Redline fits gutter work
The fall backlog, by town
Ask for times and Redline offers open slots on days you're already in that town. After a rain day, it proposes a tighter week you can apply in one tap. See gutter scheduling.
Spring and fall, on repeat
Book a cleaning and repeat it every 6 months, ending after as many visits as you like, so last year's houses come back without a phone call to remember.
Guards quoted on the spot
The best time to sell guards is with a bucket of grit in your hand. Quote them right after the cleaning and set a reminder to follow up.
Seamless installs by the foot
K-style or half-round, 5 or 6 inch, color, downspouts, miters, end caps, old gutter removal. Give Redline the footage and it lays out the lines with a deposit to book the machine day.
Full and clear photos
Before and after shots go on the job, so you have proof of what came out of the gutters for the customer who wasn't home. See Quick-Sort.
Fascia surprises
Rotted fascia behind an old gutter goes into the final invoice: "invoice the Kellys for the install plus fascia repair, 12 ft, $340". On Solo and up.
What gutter season is really like
Gutter cleaning is two short, crowded seasons. Fall is the big one: once the leaves drop, everybody calls at once, and every rainy day pushes the backlog further. Spring is smaller, cleaning out what the winter left. Cleaning is usually one or two people on ladders. Installs are a different job, with a crew and a seamless machine on the trailer.
The money is in coming back. A customer you cleaned last fall will likely want it again, and some of them would take guards if someone asked at the right moment. Redline's repeating visits and date reminders handle the first part. Quoting guards right off the ladder handles the second.
Installs need a measurement, a color and a deposit before you run the coil, and Redline handles all three on one quote.
An honest fit for gutter companies
Redline does
- Book the fall backlog grouped by town
- Repeat spring and fall cleanings every 6 months
- Quote guards and seamless installs by the linear foot
- Bill install deposits with card pay links (Solo and up)
- Keep before and after photos with each job
Redline doesn't
- Measure gutter runs from satellite images
- Track coil stock or guard inventory
- Remind customers it's time to clean (it reminds you)
- Check the weather and reschedule on its own
- Text customers when you're on the way (calling is one tap)
Questions contractors ask
Can I run cleanings and installs in one account?
Yes. Cleanings repeat on the calendar and installs move through the pipeline from Quoted to Paid. On Team and up, the install crew and the cleaning crew each see their own day.
Can it check tomorrow's weather?
If you ask. Redline can look up a forecast in the chat, which uses some of your AI usage. It won't watch the weather or move jobs without you.
Do I need deposits for installs?
That's up to you. Put a deposit percentage on the install quote and bill it before you order guards or book the machine day. Deposits are on Solo and up.
