Redline
Window cleaning scheduling

Storefronts at 6:30. Houses after 9.

A window cleaner's day has two halves: a run of shops that have to be done before the doors open, then a house or two that take most of the afternoon. Redline keeps the storefront route on repeat, books the houses at their real length and moves the outside work when it rains.

Building a window cleaning week

  1. Book the storefront route yourself

Shops want you at 6:30, before suggested times start. Give Redline the time ("Bella's Bakery every other Monday at 6:30") and set the repeat on the visit.

  2. Save the cadences

Presets like "Storefront 2-week, 30 min" and "Residential 6-month, 3 hrs" make the next customer one tap. Up to 20 presets.

  3. Book houses at their real length

In the calendar's Add event, set the length (a colonial inside and out might be 3 hours) and Redline offers the 3 best open slots, favoring towns you're already in.

  4. Bring regulars back

Repeat a home every 6 months, ending after as many visits as you like, so spring and fall are booked before the rush.

  5. Move the wet days

Rain, wind or a freezing morning for water-fed pole work: one message moves a day's outside jobs to the next open day.

A wet Wednesday

Rain all Wednesday. Move the Whitman and Kowal houses. Storefronts can wait till next cycle.
Redline

Thursday is open from 9:00. Whitman (3 hrs, Lexington) at 9:00 and Kowal (2 hrs, Lexington) at 12:30 keeps both in one town. Move them?

Yes. And skip this week's storefronts.
Redline

Whitman and Kowal moved to Thursday. For the 4 storefronts, delete this week's visit on each in the calendar. The rest of each 2-week series stays, so they're back on the 29th.

Moves happen right away once you say yes. Single visits are deleted in the calendar. Suggested times assume weekdays from 8 to 5, so set early storefront times yourself.

A window cleaner's calendar, by kind of job

JobWhenHow it's booked
Storefronts and officesBefore opening, weekly to monthlyRepeating series at a time you set
Residential regularsSpring and fallEvery 6 months as a series
One-time homesWhenever they callSingle visit at its real length
Post-construction cleansWhen the builder is readySingle visit, often a full day
Gutter or screen add-onsSame visitA longer visit, not a second trip

The early route and the 8 to 5 assumption

Redline's suggested times assume a weekday from 8 to 5. That works for houses and it doesn't for storefronts, which is fine: storefronts are a fixed route you already know, so you set the times once and the series holds them. The suggestions are for the work that moves, the homes that call in April wanting their windows before a graduation party.

The other thing to know is that Redline groups by the town on the address, not by drive time. For a residential day in one town that's exactly what you want. If your route crosses a town line every few blocks, use your own judgment and tell Redline the order.

  • Remind customers before a visit
  • Plan routes by drive time

Questions contractors ask

Can Redline check the forecast?

If you ask in the chat, it can look it up, which uses some of your AI credits. It won't watch the weather or move jobs on its own.

Can my second crew see their storefronts?

On Team and up, each crew gets the tech app with their day, the order and the shop notes (key box, alarm code, which door). Team includes 3 seats.

Can I set up a whole storefront route by chat?

The chat books one visit at a time. Book each shop's first visit, then set its repeat on the visit, or pick a saved preset in one tap.
