Redline
Tree service

Tree service software that remembers what you promised.

You quoted the oak by eye three weeks ago. Did you say you'd leave the wood? Grind the stump? Rake the chips? Redline puts every promise on the quote, next to the photos, so the crew and the customer agree on crane day.

Quoting a crane removal from the street

Quote Delaney, 3 photos attached. Leaning red oak over the garage, about 70 ft, needs the crane. Grind the stump, about 30 inches. Leave the wood cut to 16 inch rounds by the shed.
Redline

Drafted for Pat Delaney: red oak removal (approx. 70 ft, over structure) $3,800, crane 1 day $1,600, stump grinding 30 in at $8 per inch $240, wood cut to 16 in rounds and left by the shed $250. Total $5,890. Deposit?

35%. Book it Thursday at 7:30, we've got the crane that day.
Redline

Deposit set at 35%, $2,061.50. Approve the quote and it saves to his file. Delaney is booked Thursday at 7:30.

Quotes are drafts until you approve them. Deposit invoices are on Solo and up.

How Redline fits tree work

Every promise on the quote

Wood left or hauled, stump depth, chips raked, which side of the fence the bucket truck sets up. Each one is a line or a note, with the photos on the job. See tree service estimates.

Per tree, per day or per inch

Removals by the tree, crane and bucket truck by the day or hour, stumps by the inch of diameter, haul-away by the load. Redline remembers your rates.

Crane days around the crew

Book the crane day for the exact start time, then put the climber, groundies and operator on it from the board on Team and up. Two in one truck? Group them for the day.

Storm calls you can actually return

After a blow, log each call as you hear it. Every one becomes a lead, and Home shows the leads nobody has touched yet so none of them sit for a week.

Paid before the chipper leaves

The deposit holds the date. When the last load is out, say "invoice Delaney, balance $3,828.50" and hand them the card pay link. On Solo and up. See invoicing.

Estimates that sat too long

The job pipeline colors each quote by days in Quoted, amber at 7 and red at 14, so the hazard tree you quoted last month gets a call back.

The week of a small tree company

Tree work is quoted on the ground and done in the air. The owner walks the property, sizes up the tree, the lean, the targets underneath and how the equipment gets in, and gives a number. Weeks later a crew of three to five shows up, and if what they were told doesn't match what the homeowner was promised, the argument happens next to a running chipper.

Storms make it harder. A windy night brings a wave of calls, half of them urgent, and the regular schedule (pruning, removals, stump work booked weeks out) has to bend around them. Crane days are expensive and can't slide easily.

Redline keeps the quote, the photos and the notes together on the customer's file, and the crew sees the job notes on their phones (Team and up). When the job's done, the invoice is one message, and a card pay link means you're not mailing a bill after the truck pulls away.

What it covers for arborists, honestly

Redline does

  • Quote removals, pruning and stumps from photos and your notes
  • Bill deposits and balances by card (Solo and up)
  • Put climbers and ground crew on a board (Team and up)
  • Turn storm calls into leads you can work through
  • Flag estimates that have been sitting

Redline doesn't

  • Schedule cranes or trucks as equipment
  • Write ISA arborist or tree risk reports
  • Apply for removal permits
  • Check your insurance (Verified Pro doesn't verify it)
  • Collect signed waivers online

Questions contractors ask

Can it track my crane or bucket truck?

Not as equipment. Book the crane day as its own calendar event so it's visible next to the jobs that need it.

Can the homeowner sign off on the quote?

Not inside Redline right now. Email the numbers from your Gmail and use your own signed authorization. Once they sign, move the job to Accepted and bill the deposit.

What about my damage waivers?

Take a photo of the signed waiver and attach it to the job, along with your before photos of the lawn and driveway.

Will my climbers see prices?

No. Crew members on Team and up see their jobs, checklists and notes. Quotes, invoices and job values stay with the owner and office.
