Simpro alternatives for shops without a stockroom.

Simpro is built for trade contractors with inventory to manage, projects to cost and 5 to 50+ techs in the field. If your stock lives in the van and you know it by heart, you may be shopping a size up.

Who Simpro is for, and how you buy it

Simpro is field service and project management software for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, security and fire protection contractors. It covers detailed estimating with live supplier pricing and tenders, office-to-field scheduling and dispatch, supplier catalogs and stock tracking, job costing with work in progress, labor productivity and material spend against budget, and a field app. Its Premium edition targets enterprise shops.

Simpro's pricing page publishes no figures. Pricing is tailored to team size and add-ons, billed monthly or annually, and Simpro states an initial setup fee covering onboarding, training and data migration. There's no self-serve trial; you book a tailored demo.

For a 15-tech electrical contractor bidding tenders and running a warehouse, that's exactly the point. For a 3-truck shop doing panel upgrades, service calls and the odd EV charger, it's a long sales process for tools you won't use yet. Two-way comparison: Redline vs Simpro.

Questions contractors ask

How much does Simpro cost?

Simpro doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page says pricing is tailored to team size and add-ons, billed monthly or annually, plus an initial setup fee for onboarding, training and data migration.

Does Redline track the stock on my van?

No. There's no inventory, price book or purchase orders. On Solo you can file materials as expenses against a job, which feeds profit per job.

When is Simpro the better pick?

When you bid tenders, hold stock across vans or a warehouse, or need labor in your job costing. Redline does none of those.
