Redline
Electrical estimates

Count it on the walkthrough, quote it before you leave.

Six cans in the kitchen, two GFCIs, a 50 amp circuit in the garage for the charger. You've already counted it. Redline turns the count into an itemized quote with the permit and deposit on it, while you're still in the customer's driveway.

From walkthrough to scheduled work

  1. Count on the walkthrough

Devices, fixtures, new circuits and the run lengths that matter. Photograph the panel and the meter while you're there.

  2. Message the count

Send the counts as you'd say them to your apprentice. Redline builds a line per device type with your rates, plus labor, permit and any utility coordination.

  3. Add options when there's a real choice

Charger on the existing panel, or a 200 amp upgrade with the charger. The chat drafts each option as its own quote with a deposit percentage. On Solo, the quote composer can hold good, better and best on one quote with tax.

  4. Save, email, follow up

The quote is saved on the customer's file; move the job to Quoted. Redline drafts the email from your Gmail and you set a reminder to call back.

  5. Accepted, then the permit

Move the job to Accepted and invoice the deposit (Solo and up). Then book the inspection and the utility disconnect on the calendar once you have dates.

Where electrical quotes stall

The quote is rarely the slow part. The slow part is everything after: waiting on the permit, waiting on the utility to schedule the disconnect, waiting on the customer to pick an option. Final payment waits on the inspection, which waits on everything else.

Redline keeps that wait visible. The job sits in Accepted with its notes, the reminder comes back in your morning push, and when the utility gives you a date you book it in one message. It won't track the permit for you, but it won't let you forget it either.

Straight answers on electrical estimates

Redline does

  • Turn device counts into an itemized quote
  • Quote a panel upgrade as a second option
  • Read photos of the panel and the meter
  • Invoice the deposit (Solo and up)
  • Look up a material price on the web if you ask (it uses credits)

Redline doesn't

  • Do takeoffs from blueprints
  • Run NEC load calculations
  • Pull live supplier pricing
  • Track permit or inspection status as its own record
  • Let the customer accept the quote online

Questions contractors ask

Will it know my price per can or per outlet?

After you mention it once, yes. Redline saves your prices on its own and uses them on the next quote. You can check or change what it saved in Settings, under Memory.

Can it check the load for a charger?

No. Load calculations are your call. Redline builds the quote from the work you decide on.

Do I need Solo to quote?

No. Quoting by chat works on Free. Solo at $29 a month adds deposits, invoices and card pay links.
