GorillaDesk alternatives for route-based service.

GorillaDesk is built for the businesses that run the same stops every week or every quarter: pest control, pool service, lawn care. Before you switch, know what route software does that general tools don't. Here's the honest list.

Who GorillaDesk fits, and what its pricing is tied to

GorillaDesk is route-based field service software for pest control, lawn care, pool service and cleaning. Every plan covers CRM, quotes, scheduling, route planning, invoicing, card processing and a mobile app. Its Pro plan adds QuickBooks sync, subscription billing, route optimization, a customer portal, review generation, device tracking and e-signatures. It also keeps pesticide and chemical usage records, which matters if you're in pest control.

Its pricing is per route, so each route you add adds to the bill, and several of the features route businesses lean on most (subscription billing, route optimization, QuickBooks) are on Pro, not Basic. On the plus side, GorillaDesk states it's month-to-month with no contracts or setup fees. See its pricing for current figures.

If you're a pest operator who logs chemical applications, GorillaDesk does something Redline doesn't do at all, and that may settle it. If you're a smaller pool or lawn route that mostly needs a schedule, quotes and invoices, the options below are worth a look. Two-way comparison: Redline vs GorillaDesk.

  • QuickBooks sync and e-signatures

Redline has

  • A Free plan and no per-route charge

Questions contractors ask

Can Redline bill my quarterly pest customers automatically?

No. Redline schedules the quarterly visits as a repeating series, but there's no automatic recurring billing. You invoice each visit, which is two taps from the finished job on Solo and up.

Does Redline optimize my route?

Not by map. Optimize looks at the next 7 days and proposes moves that fix overlaps and put stops in the same town on the same day. It doesn't know drive times or stop order. See pest control scheduling.

Where do I record chemicals applied?

Redline has no chemical tracking. You can type what you applied into the job notes, but that's a note, not a usage log or report. If you rely on application records, keep GorillaDesk or a tool built for it.
