FieldPulse alternatives you can try before you buy seats.

FieldPulse is built for service companies that have both an office and a field crew. It's sold as a demo, a quote and a block of seats for a contract term. If you'd rather click around on your own first, these are the alternatives that fit the same shops.

Who FieldPulse is for, and how it's sold

FieldPulse targets HVAC, plumbing, electrical, septic, garage door and locksmith companies with office and field staff. It covers scheduling and dispatch, quotes and invoices, payments, job costing and reporting, a tech app with an offline mode, and QuickBooks Online, Desktop and QuickBooks Time integrations.

The way you buy it is the part to understand. FieldPulse is quote-based and priced by seat. Seats are bought upfront for the contract term, with lower-priced seats for field-only users. The pricebook, custom forms and AI are paid add-ons rather than built in. Its FAQ says there's no free trial, just a personalized demo, and FieldPulse itself says initial setup can take time, which is why onboarding is guided.

None of that is unusual for software aimed at a shop with a dispatcher and an office manager. It's a lot for a two-truck outfit that wants to try things this week. For the direct comparison, see Redline vs FieldPulse.

Questions contractors ask

Does FieldPulse have a free trial?

Its FAQ says no; it offers a free personalized demo instead. Redline has a Free plan with no end date, and Solo has a 7-day trial when you start on the web (14 days on yearly).

Does Redline work without signal?

Only partly. A call logged with no signal queues and saves when you reconnect. Everything else needs a connection, so a crew that works in basements and crawlspaces all day should weigh that.

Can my office manager use Redline without seeing tech screens, and vice versa?

Yes, on Team and up. Each person gets a role: Admin, Office, Member or Tech. Techs land in the tech app and can't see job values, quotes or invoices. Every person uses one seat. See team accounts.
