Redline
Septic service

Septic software that remembers where the lid is.

Half the job is finding the tank. Redline keeps the tank size, the lid location and the last pump date on the customer, books the next pump-out years out and invoices from the cab.

Pump-out notes, invoice and an upsell

Pumped the Lindqvist tank in Sudbury. 1,500 gal. Lid is 9 ft off the back corner of the garage, 2 ft down. A riser would save digging next time.

Logged a note on Erik Lindqvist: 1,500 gal tank, lid 9 ft off the back garage corner, 2 ft down. Want an invoice for today and a quote for the riser?

Yes. Pump-out $425, locate and dig $95. Riser and lid $650 on the quote.
Redline

Invoice drafted: $520, "Pump-out $425, locate and dig to lid $95". Approve it and the pay link goes live.

Draft quote: riser and lid $650. It saves as a draft for you to go over with him.

Invoices are on Solo and up. Notes and quotes work on every plan.

What a pumping business gets

Tank notes that outlast your memory

Tank size, lid depth, distance from the corner of the house, the photo with the probe in the ground. It all lives on the customer, so the next driver isn't probing the whole yard. See contacts and CRM.

Next pump-out on the calendar

Book the next pump-out as a repeating visit every 24 or 36 months when you finish this one. Custom repeats go up to every 52 months. See recurring jobs.

Real estate deadlines

A home sale inspection has a closing date behind it. Book it, set a reminder for the day before, and keep the agent as a contact so the next listing comes to you.

Risers and repairs quoted from the yard

Quote a riser, a baffle, an effluent filter or a pump with photos attached, and a deposit for bigger repairs and installs.

Disposal fees against the job

Log the disposal fee as an expense on the job and Reports shows what each pump-out made after it. On Solo and up. See expenses and reports.

A business that comes back every few years

Septic is slow repeat work. A household needs a pump-out every few years, and whether they call you or the next name in the search results depends on whether you're the one who remembers. Plenty of small pumping outfits keep that in a ledger, a spreadsheet or the owner's head, which works until the owner is the one driving the truck all day.

Redline puts the next pump-out on the calendar the day you do this one, and keeps the tank details on the customer so whoever goes next year can find the lid. When the visit comes around it's already on the calendar, and calling the customer to confirm is one tap.

The rest of the week is the unplanned stuff: real estate inspections with a closing date, a backup on a Sunday, a baffle that needs replacing. Those come in as jobs with notes and photos, and the bigger repairs and new systems get quoted with a deposit before you dig. Frozen ground slows the digging in winter; pumping keeps going where you can reach the lid.

Questions contractors ask

Will Redline remind my customers when they're due?

No, nothing goes to customers on its own. The visit is on your calendar, a date reminder can land in your morning push on the iPhone app, and you call or email the customer from your own Gmail.

Can it do my county pump-out reporting?

No. Redline keeps the record of the job and the tank details, but the county or health department form still goes through their process.

Can I charge for gallons over the tank size?

Yes. Tell Redline the extra gallons and your per-gallon rate and it adds them to the invoice total and description. Invoicing is on Solo and up.

What plan for one pump truck?

Solo at $29 a month covers invoicing, card payments and expenses for one person. Add Team at $129 when a second driver needs the app. See pricing.
