Know your route before the first flake.
Snow is sold in September and October. By the first storm you need to know who's back, who switched to per-push and who went with the other guy. Redline puts last winter's customers in front of you, re-quotes them in a message and shows who hasn't answered.
The fall sign-up, in Redline
Start from last winter
Every property you plowed is on file with the town, the driveway notes and what they paid. Ask for last season's customers in a town and you have the list.
Quote seasonal and per-push side by side
Each customer gets two options: the season price and the per-push price, with salt as a line. Lay both out in one email so they see the choice.
Email it from your Gmail
Redline drafts the "signing up for this winter?" note with their price. You check each one before it goes.
Watch who hasn't answered
The pipeline counts days in Quoted, amber at 7 and red at 14. Mid-October, those are your phone calls.
Lost is information
Move the ones who aren't coming back to Lost. Your route count for the winter is everything in Accepted.
Late September
14 seasonal customers from last winter with no quote this year. 9 in Medford, 5 in Arlington. Henderson paid $650 last season, the highest in Arlington.
Quote them at last year's prices?
Two drafts for Mark Henderson, one per option, ready to review. Want the email drafted too, from your Gmail?
Quotes and emails wait for your review. Example prices only.
What a snow business tracks in the fall
Driveway notes that carry over
"Gravel drive, plow with the shoe up", "stakes on the left edge", "car stays out overnight". Last winter's notes are still on the file.
New properties from your Pro Page
Fall quote requests from your free Pro Page land in Contacts as leads. Free shows 3 a month in full.
Commercial lots
A plaza or a church lot is one contact with a job per location. Quote the lot plow, sidewalks and salt as separate lines.
Installment reminders
If seasonal customers pay in installments, set a date reminder for each due date when they sign. Redline won't bill them on its own.
Why the fall decides the winter
A plow route is planned around how many driveways you can clear before people leave for work. Sign too few and the truck sits. Sign too many and the last customers are angry at 9am. Knowing your number in October is the whole game, and that means knowing who's back.
Most of that number is last year's customers. Redline won't sign them for you or send a mass mailing. It gives you the list, drafts each email, and shows every quote's age so the ones who haven't answered get a phone call before the first forecast sends everyone shopping.

Questions contractors ask
What happens to my account over the summer?
Contacts, notes and history stay. Free keeps the chat, contacts, pipeline and calendar running, and you can change or cancel a paid plan anytime.
Can I import last year's route from a spreadsheet?
Not from a file. Add customers by chat a few at a time. If you ran last winter in Redline, they're already there.
How do I bill once the snow starts?
Per property per storm, from one message. See snow removal invoicing. Invoicing is on Solo at $29 a month.
