Redline
Roofing CRM

A roofing CRM for the week after the storm.

Roofing deals are won or lost weeks after the inspection. Redline keeps every door knock, inspection and quote as a file with photos, notes and a next step, and tells you which ones have gone quiet.

From the door knock to Paid

  1. Log the lead where you're standing

Tell the chat "add Pete Novak, 41 Ridge Rd, Billerica, hail on the north slope, wants an inspection Thursday", or drop a photo and a note into Quick-Sort and file it later. Either way it lands in Contacts tagged as a lead.

  2. Book the inspection

Ask for a time and Redline offers the 3 best open slots, grouping inspections in the same town on the same day.

  3. Inspect, then quote

Photos go on the job. Build the quote by chat from your measurements and move the job to Quoted. See the roofing estimate app for how that part works.

  4. Follow up on everything that's open

Pipeline cards turn amber at 7 days in a stage and red at 14. Home shows the quotes gone quiet and the leads nobody touched. Ask Redline for a follow-up email or a reminder for the morning.

  5. Track it through to Paid

Accepted, In Progress, Paid. On Solo and up, the invoice and the card pay link come from the same job, and unpaid invoices get flagged at day 3, 7 and 14.

Monday after the hailstorm

Which roofs from last week's storm haven't heard from me since the inspection?
Redline

Four inspected but not quoted: Novak (Billerica), Haddad and Shea (Chelmsford), Ortiz (Billerica). And two quotes out over 7 days with no answer: Brennan ($16.2k) and Kowalski ($11.8k).

Remind me tomorrow to quote Haddad and Shea. Draft a follow-up to Brennan.
Redline

Reminder set for tomorrow's morning brief. The Brennan email is ready to read over, and it goes from your Gmail when you send it.

Contacts, pipeline and follow-ups are on the Free plan. The morning brief needs the iPhone app.

The pipeline, read like a roofer

Redline's stages are fixed. Here's how roofing work fits them.

StageWhat it means on a roof job
LeadDoor knock, referral, Pro Page request or storm call. Inspection not done yet.
QuotedInspected and measured, quote saved and sent from your Gmail
AcceptedHomeowner said yes. Deposit billed, material ordered.
In ProgressTear-off scheduled or underway
PaidWork's finished. Marking it Paid drops the job into Money's Ready to bill (Solo and up).
LostWent with someone else, or the claim was denied. Mark it so the count is honest.

The pipeline filters by town and service, and "Stale 7d+" shows only the deals that have sat a week.

Two habits that make a roofing CRM worth it

First, log the neighbors. When the tear-off crew is on a street, the houses on either side are the warmest leads you'll ever get. Add each door you knock as a lead with the street in the note, and next time you're working that town, the pipeline's Town filter lists every open lead there.

Second, mark the losses. A quote that went to another roofer belongs in Lost, not left sitting in Quoted. It keeps the stale list down to deals you can still win, and the close rate on Redline's revenue card stays honest, so you know whether storm season actually paid.

Straight answers for roofing sales

Redline does

  • Capture leads by chat, Quick-Sort photo or your Pro Page form
  • Keep inspection photos and notes on the job
  • Show every roof from Lead to Paid, filterable by town
  • Flag stale quotes and untouched leads on Home
  • Draft follow-up emails sent from your own Gmail

Redline doesn't

  • Map neighborhoods for canvassing
  • Track insurance claims, ACV or depreciation checks
  • Run automated email or text drip campaigns
  • Import your old lead spreadsheet
  • Let you rename or add pipeline stages

Questions contractors ask

Can my sales rep and I share the same leads?

Yes, on Team ($129 a month, 3 seats) and up. Everyone on the workspace sees the same contacts, pipeline and chats. Free and Solo are one person.

Can I bring my existing lead list over?

Not by import. There's no CSV or contact import today, so leads go in by chat or by hand. Most roofers start with the open deals and let the closed ones stay where they are.

Where do inspection photos go?

Attach them to the job, or snap them into Quick-Sort and file them to the customer later. They show up on the contact's Notes tab with the job photos.

Does it remind the homeowner for me?

No. Reminders and overdue alerts come to you. Anything the homeowner gets is an email you approve, sent from your Gmail.
