Pest control estimates

186 feet of foundation, two ways to treat it.

General pest is a price you know by heart. Termite and rodent work isn't: it's linear feet of foundation, slab to drill, stations to set and holes to seal. Redline turns your inspection notes into a quote with the treatment options side by side.

From inspection to a quote they can choose from

  1. Measure and note on the inspection

Foundation footage, slab areas that need drilling, entry points around the garage and the soffits, conducive conditions you want fixed first.

  2. Send it with photos

Mud tubes, droppings, the gap under the garage door. Up to 6 photos per message for Redline to read. Attach them to the job too so they stay with it.

  3. Options side by side

Liquid treatment next to a bait system, or a one-time service next to an initial plus quarterly plan. Each option has its own total.

  4. Say what's not included

Moisture repairs, wood replacement, trimming shrubs off the siding. Put them on the quote as $0 lines so nobody thinks they were.

  5. Deposit on the big ones

Termite and exclusion jobs can take a deposit percentage. Invoice it when they agree. Deposits are on Solo and up.

A termite quote with two treatments

Quote the Pruitts for termites. Photos of mud tubes on the garage wall attached. 186 linear ft of foundation, 22 ft of slab to drill at the garage. Option 1 liquid treatment. Option 2 bait system, 18 stations, first year of monitoring.
Redline

Two drafts for Janet Pruitt:

Option 1: liquid termiticide, 186 linear ft at $8.50 $1,581, slab drilling and treatment 22 ft at $12 $264, 1-year warranty. Total $1,845.

Option 2: bait stations x 18 installed at $55 $990, monitoring year 1 $480. Total $1,470.

Renewal after year one is $325 on either. Deposit?

No deposit. Add a $0 line to both: moisture under the back porch to be corrected by homeowner.
Redline

Added to both. Approve them and they save to her file.

What goes on a termite or exclusion quote

  • Foundation treated, in linear feet
  • Slab or patio drilling, in feet or by the hole
  • Bait stations by count, with the monitoring period
  • Exclusion: entry points sealed by count, door sweeps, vent screens
  • Trapping or removal visits, if the job includes them
  • Warranty and renewal price after the first year
  • Conducive conditions the homeowner must fix, as $0 lines

Most of these quotes are really a plan sale

A homeowner who calls about mice usually wants them gone this week. The better job for both of you is exclusion now and a plan after, and the quote is where that choice gets made. Putting the one-time job and the plan next to each other shows what the plan adds without a sales pitch.

Termite quotes work the same way: the treatment, then a renewal they'll pay every year. Write the renewal price on the quote so it isn't a surprise, then set a date reminder when they sign so it's billed on time next year.

Questions contractors ask

Can I quote a general pest plan in the same message?

Yes. Ask for an option with the initial service and quarterly plan, and Redline drafts it next to the others using the prices it remembers.

How does the homeowner say yes?

They tell you. Online approval isn't available right now, so use your own service agreement and move the job to Accepted when they sign.

Can I charge for the inspection itself?

Yes, as its own line, or as a credit toward the treatment if they go ahead. Redline doesn't write the WDO report, so keep using your state's form.
