Redline
Insulation

Insulation software that quotes by R-value.

You come down from the attic with the square footage, the existing depth and a dust mask full of fiberglass. Tell Redline what's there and what it should be, and it drafts a quote for each level the homeowner wants to compare.

Okonkwo attic in Worcester, 1,100 sq ft, about R-11 now. Quote blown cellulose with 12 baffles and the hatch. Good is R-38, better is R-49, best is R-49 plus air sealing.

Saved all three as drafts. Logged a note on Ada: applying for the utility rebate.

Quotes save as drafts you go over with the customer or email from your own Gmail. Good, better and best on a single quote is in the quote composer (Solo and up).

Priced by R-value, tracked to the rebate

Options by R-value

Good, better and best on one quote: a lower R-value, the recommended one, and the one with air sealing, each with its own total. Options live in the quote composer (Solo and up); by chat, Redline drafts one quote per level. See quotes and estimates.

Units the way you price

Square feet for blown-in and batts, board feet for spray foam, each for baffles and hatches, flat for air sealing or removal. Quantity times your price, with a deposit percentage.

Deposits on the bigger jobs

Spray foam and removal jobs often take a deposit. On Solo and up, bill it as its own invoice and the customer pays by card on the pay link. See invoicing.

Rebate status on the customer

Note where the rebate stands on the customer's file and set a reminder to check on it. Redline doesn't file or track the rebate application itself.

Profit after the bags

Log cellulose, foam sets and fuel as expenses on the job and Reports shows profit per job after them. On Solo and up. See expenses and reports.

Quotes before the weather turns

Insulation sells right before winter and summer. The job pipeline shows which quotes have sat too long so you can follow up while the house is still cold.

Measuring, paperwork and two busy seasons

Insulation crews are 2 or 3 people and a rig. The sales visit is an attic climb with a tape measure and a flashlight, then a quote that has to explain why R-49 is worth more than R-38 to someone who's never been up there. Photos of the existing insulation do half the selling.

The paperwork is where jobs stall. Utility rebate forms, energy audit results, the attic card stapled by the hatch. Some customers won't say yes until they know the rebate amount, and some rebates won't pay until the job is invoiced. Redline doesn't handle the rebate forms, but it keeps the status on the customer and reminds you to check, so the job doesn't sit in limbo.

The busy seasons come right before the cold and right before the heat. That's when quick quotes matter most, and when a quote that's been sitting for two weeks is a customer who called someone else.

Straight answers for insulation contractors

Redline does

  • Quote by square foot, board foot or bag at each R-value
  • Put a deposit on bigger jobs (billing on Solo and up)
  • Keep rebate notes and reminders on each customer
  • Show profit per job after material you logged (Solo and up)
  • Flag quotes that have gone quiet

Redline doesn't

  • Run energy audits or blower door numbers
  • File utility rebate applications
  • Print an R-value certificate or attic card
  • Work out how many bags an attic needs
  • Let customers approve a quote online

Questions contractors ask

Can the quote show the utility rebate?

Redline doesn't calculate or file rebates. Keep the expected rebate and its status in the customer's notes, and set a reminder to follow up with the utility.

Can I quote spray foam by the board foot?

Yes. Every line is a quantity times a price, so board feet, square feet and bags all work. Redline doesn't calculate the board feet for you; give it your number.

Which plan fits a crew with two rigs?

Team at $129 a month has 3 seats with the owner counted, plus the dispatch board and tech app. Team+ at $299 has 10 seats. See pricing.
