Tradify alternatives when every new hire raises the bill.

Tradify charges per person, month to month, with no long-term contract. For a solo electrician that's simple. For a crew of four it adds up. Here's how the alternatives price a small trade crew.

Who uses Tradify, and the per-user math

Tradify is job management software for small trade businesses: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair and the building trades. It covers quoting from any device, a live scheduler with staff assignment and route planning, digital timesheets for staff and subcontractors, invoices with automated payment reminders, and Xero and QuickBooks integrations.

Tradify's pricing page lists three plans at $47, $51 and $61 per user a month, month-to-month with no long-term contract. The AI SmartTools are only on Plus, the $61 plan. By those numbers, a 3-person crew is $141 to $183 a month and a 4-person crew is $188 to $244, before any annual discount.

If timesheets matter to you, that's a real reason to stay: Redline doesn't have them. If they don't, a plan that covers several people at one price may cost less. Two-way comparison: Redline vs Tradify.

Questions contractors ask

What does a 3-person electrical crew pay?

By each vendor's own pricing page: Tradify $141 to $183 a month (3 users at $47 to $61). Redline Team $129 a month for 3 seats, owner included. Housecall Pro Essentials $149 a month billed annually with 5 users. ServiceM8 depends on jobs, not people.

Does Redline do timesheets or job costing with labor?

No. There's no clock-in or time tracking, so profit per job counts materials and expenses but not labor hours. If you pay off timesheets, keep that elsewhere.

Does Redline chase late payers like Tradify's reminders?

It chases you, not them. Unpaid invoices are flagged at day 3, 7 and 14, and the iPhone app pushes you who to call. Any email to the customer is one you draft and approve. See overdue invoice alerts.
