Restoration software for the 2am call, not the claim.
The insurance side of restoration needs its own tools, and Redline isn't one of them. What it does is the rest: get the job in fast, put a crew on it, keep the photos on the job, track who referred it and collect the deductible.
A burst pipe, logged on the way
Ready to add Dev Malhotra at 88 Harbor Rd and a water mitigation job for him, noted: referred by Kenny, Southshore Plumbing (confirm below). Assign it to Ray once it's in?
Ray has the Malhotra job; it's on his phone now. Draft invoice for Dev: insurance deductible, $1,000. Approve it and the pay link goes live.
Assigning crews is on Team and up. Invoices are on Solo and up. Redline doesn't know where Ray is; you do.
Where Redline fits a restoration company
Intake in one message
Name, address, what happened and who sent it, typed from the truck at 2am. Redline proposes the contact and the job, and you confirm. See the AI chat assistant.
Crews on a board
On Team and up, assign the mitigation crew by chat or by dragging the job on the dispatch board. Crews tap En route and On job, and they never see dollar amounts.
Photos on the job
Snap the wet drywall and the flood cut and file them with Quick-Sort, or attach them to the job. They stay together on the customer's file for when you put the claim package together elsewhere.
Referral partners as contacts
Plumbers, adjusters and property managers send the work. Keep each as a contact, note who referred every job, and log your check-ins with them. See contacts and CRM.
Deductibles by card
Invoice the homeowner's deductible on day one with a card pay link, and get a push on the iPhone app when it's paid. On Solo and up.
What Redline is, and what it isn't
Restoration lives and dies on documentation for the insurer: moisture maps and daily readings, equipment days per room, photo logs, work authorizations, an Xactimate estimate and a certificate of completion. Redline has none of that. It doesn't integrate with Xactimate, it doesn't log moisture readings, it doesn't count air mover days, and it doesn't track claims, supplements or carrier payments. If that's the software you need, look for software built for restoration.
Some companies still want something simpler for the parts around the claim. The call that comes in at 2am needs to become a job with a crew on it, fast. The plumber who sent it needs to be remembered. The photos need to live somewhere other than three techs' camera rolls. The homeowner's deductible should be collected on day one, not chased for months alongside the carrier check.
That's the slice Redline covers. It works best for small mitigation crews and for plumbers or cleaners who do some water work, where a full restoration platform would be more than they need.
Straight answers for restoration contractors

- Collect deductibles with a card pay link (Solo and up)

Questions contractors ask
Does Redline work with Xactimate?
No. There's no Xactimate integration and no insurance estimating in Redline.
Can I bill the insurance company through Redline?
Redline isn't built for carrier billing. Its invoices are paid by card on a pay link, and it doesn't track claims or carrier payments. Use it for the deductible and smaller cash jobs.
Can Redline track drying equipment on a job?
Not as equipment tracking. You can note what's on site in the job notes, but there's no count of air mover or dehumidifier days.
Will it show me where my crews are?
No. There's no GPS. Crews tap their status in the app: Idle, En route, On job.
