Home inspector software for the business around the report.
Keep your report software. Redline handles everything else: the agent who sends you buyers, the inspection booked before the contingency runs out, the radon and sewer scope add-ons and the payment that should land before the report goes out.
A referral booked before the deadline
Ready to add Ben and Laura Hartman with a note: referred by Meg Sullivan, Coastline Realty, contingency ends Oct 16 (confirm below).
Before the 16th you're open Thursday at 9:00 or Monday at 1:00. Which one?
Booked Thursday at 9:00 at the Hartman house. Invoice drafted: $925, "Home inspection $525, radon test $175, sewer scope $225". Approve it and the pay link goes live.
Invoices and pay links are on Solo and up. The inspection report stays in your report software.
Where Redline fits an inspection business
Agents as contacts
Keep each agent as a contact and note on every client who referred them. Log calls and lunches on the agent's file so you know when you last talked. See contacts and CRM.
Booking around contingency dates
Ask for a time before a date and Redline offers the best open slots, grouping inspections in the same town on the same day. See scheduling.
Add-on prices remembered
Radon, sewer scope, mold samples, WDO, a crawl space or outbuilding: say your price once and Redline remembers it, so the invoice total and description come out right.
Paid before you release the report
Send the pay link ahead of the inspection (Solo and up). Money shows when it's paid, and the iPhone app pushes a "Payment received" alert. You release the report from your own software when you see it.
A free page with a request form
Your Pro Page lists your service area and takes quote requests that land in Contacts as leads. The Verified Pro badge means a paid plan, a published page, a photo and a way to reach you. It doesn't check your license.
Be clear about what this is
The core of a home inspection business is the report: the photos, the defect narratives, the summary the buyer's agent reads in the car. Redline doesn't do any of that. There's no report builder, no defect library, no pre-inspection agreement with a signature, and no way to hold a report until payment. If you're looking for inspection software, this isn't it.
What Redline does is the part many inspectors run out of their phone and their memory. Agents are the repeat source of work, and keeping track of who sent whom is how you know who to take to coffee. Every job has a closing date behind it, so booking fast and on the right day matters. And getting paid before the report goes out is easier when the pay link went out with the confirmation.
Solo inspectors fit the Free and Solo plans. Small multi-inspector firms can put inspectors on Team, where each inspector gets their day in the tech app without seeing prices or invoices.

Questions contractors ask
Is Redline home inspection software?
No. It's general field service software for the business side: contacts, scheduling, invoicing and payments. You'd keep your report software and use Redline alongside it.
Can I make sure clients pay before they get the report?
Redline can't hold the report, because the report isn't in Redline. You can send the pay link early, see the moment it's paid, and release the report yourself.
Can agents book inspections online?
No. There's no booking widget or agent portal. Agents call or email you, or use the request form on your Pro Page, and you book it.
How much does it cost for a solo inspector?
Free covers contacts, the calendar and scheduling. Solo at $29 a month adds invoices, card payments and reports, with a 7-day free trial on the web. See pricing.
