Redline
Flooring

Flooring software that adds the waste in the right place.

You measured 640 square feet. You'll order 704. You'll install 640. Redline keeps material and labor on separate lines, bills the deposit so you can order, and puts the soft spot by the dishwasher on the final invoice.

An LVP quote and an install date

Quote Elena Varga: LVP in the kitchen, dining and hall, 640 sq ft, 10% waste. Pull up and haul the old laminate, 6 transitions, 120 ft of quarter round. 50% deposit so I can order.

Quotes wait for your review. Deposit invoices are on Solo and up.

How Redline fits flooring jobs

Material and labor apart

Product by the square foot with the waste factor you choose, install by the square foot actually covered, plus tear-out, underlayment, stairs by the step and trim by the foot.

Deposit, then order

Put a deposit percentage on the quote and bill it when they say yes, so the product is paid for before it ships. On Solo and up. See quotes and estimates.

Subfloor surprises

Pull the old floor, find a soft spot, snap a photo. Note the repair and price on the job so it goes into the final invoice amount, with the picture on file.

Working around other trades

When the painters run late, one message moves the install. The calendar keeps both days together on the customer's file.

Moisture readings on the job

Type the slab or subfloor reading into the job notes with a photo of the meter, so the manufacturer's install requirements are covered if a claim ever comes up.

Unit turns for property managers

One contact per management company, one job per unit. Invoices go out from your Gmail and overdue alerts tell you who to call. On Solo and up.

The flooring week in practice

Flooring is measure, order, wait, install. The quote depends on a good measurement and the right waste factor for the product and the layout. The order can't go in until the deposit lands, and the install has to fit after the drywall, the paint and whoever else is in the house first.

Then the old floor comes up and the plan changes. A soft subfloor, an uneven slab, a stair nosing nobody mentioned. Each one is a change the customer has to hear about and pay for, and on a busy week they're easy to forget by the time the final invoice goes out.

Redline keeps it in order: the quote with material and labor split, the deposit, the install days on the calendar, and the change notes on the job so the final bill is complete.

Flooring, straight up

Redline does

  • Quote material and labor separately by the square foot
  • Bill a deposit before you order product (Solo and up)
  • Move install days when other trades run late
  • Keep subfloor repairs and photos on the job
  • Invoice the balance with card pay links (Solo and up)

Redline doesn't

  • Do takeoffs from floor plans or room diagrams
  • Order product or track deliveries
  • Log moisture readings in a report
  • Track box counts or inventory
  • Text the customer when product arrives (calling is one tap)

Questions contractors ask

Does Redline figure the waste factor?

It applies the factor you give it (10% on a straight lay, more on a diagonal or herringbone) to the material line only. Pick the factor yourself, the way you always have.

I install for a few GCs. How do I bill them?

Make each GC a contact and each address a job. On Solo and up, invoices default to due in 14 days, and Redline flags unpaid ones at day 3, 7 and 14.

Do I need Team for one helper?

Only if the helper needs the app. Team at $129 a month includes 3 seats counting you. If they just ride along, Solo at $29 covers you.
