General contractor invoice template for the progress draw.

On a multi-week job you bill what's done, not what's signed. Each phase shows its contract amount times the percent complete, and the deposit comes off the bottom.

This draw bills work complete to date, less the deposit paid at signing (draw 1). Draws 3 and 4 follow at drywall and at final.
Lien waivers from subs for work in this draw are attached.
Change orders are signed before the work and billed as their own lines.
Set tax to match how your state treats construction contracts.

In Redline you say "invoice the Sorensens $30,550 for draw 2" and it drafts the invoice from their job as one amount with a one-line description, so this sheet still carries the phase breakdown. Approve it and they can pay by card from the link. Redline's pay link is card only, and card fees add up on a big draw, so you may still want a check for those. A check doesn't mark a Redline invoice paid; log it on their file instead.

Invoicing is on the Solo plan, $29 a month with a 7-day free trial. Redline doesn't track retainage or lien waivers; it drafts the invoice, tracks what's paid and flags what's overdue. See general contractor invoicing.
