Zuper alternatives for crews that don't need the whole platform.

Zuper is a full field service platform: scheduling, dispatch, quotes, timesheets, asset management and a customer portal, priced per user. For a crew of three, the question is whether you need all of that yet, and what it costs as you add people.

Who Zuper fits, and the per-user model

Zuper sells to multi-technician field service companies and features roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and solar. Techs share estimates and invoices from the mobile app, customers accept or reject quotes and track job status in a portal, and the office gets work orders, timesheets, job checklists and asset management.

Zuper prices per user, so the bill rises with every tech you add, and its own article on dispatch software cost puts the configurable, rules-based dispatch board on the Premium tier. We found a starting price on a product page but not on a pricing page, so we haven't listed it. Ask Zuper for the number at your headcount, and ask which tier your must-haves sit on.

For a 20-tech HVAC company with service agreements and equipment records, asset management is the point. For a three-person roofing or solar crew, the daily questions are simpler: who's on which roof today, which quotes are still out, who owes money. Two-way comparison: Redline vs Zuper.

Dispatch for a three-person roofing crew

Put Dre on the Whitfield tear-off tomorrow and push the Ochoa inspection to Friday 9.
Redline

Done. Whitfield tear-off is on Dre for tomorrow; his phone and the board show it. Ochoa inspection moved to Friday 9am.

What's still unassigned this week?
Redline

Two jobs: Nakamura skylight flashing Wednesday and Ellis gutter reset Thursday.

Example names. Dispatch by chat is on Team ($129 a month, 3 seats) and Team+ ($299, 10 seats).

Questions contractors ask

How much does Zuper cost?

Zuper prices per user in tiers (Starter, Core, Premium). We didn't find full prices on a Zuper pricing page, so ask for a quote at your headcount and ask which tier includes the dispatch board you want.

Does Redline track where my techs are?

No. There's no GPS or location tracking, by design. Techs tap Idle, En route or On job, and the board shows it live. See crew dispatch.

What does a 5-person crew pay on Redline?

Team covers 3 seats for $129 a month, owner included, so a crew of 5 needs Team+ at $299 a month, which covers 10. Yearly billing is 20% off. Every person who logs in, techs included, holds a seat.
