Redline vs Service Autopilot: for crews that don't need autopilot yet.

Service Autopilot is built for lawn, landscape, snow and cleaning companies running several crews: route optimization, GPS crew tracking, automated texts and batch charging. Redline is simpler on purpose. Its Free plan covers the chat, contacts, pipeline, calendar and quotes for $0, and you approve every customer email yourself. If you run routes across a county, Service Autopilot does more of the work.

The short version

Redline is for the owner with one or two trucks who wants the season organized without setting up automations. You book a mowing route as repeating visits (up to 52 in a series, saved as presets like "Biweekly mow"), and the scheduling assistant groups visits in the same town. Quotes work on every plan, including Free. Solo at $29 a month adds invoices and card pay links; Team adds a crew board where techs tap their own status. There's no GPS and no map routing.

Service Autopilot is scheduling, routing, invoicing and automation software for lawn care, landscaping, snow removal and cleaning companies, mostly with crews. It schedules and routes the day with recurring jobs at any cadence, has a crew app for estimates on the go, photos, notes, time tracking and chemical and asset tracking, shows real-time GPS crew location, runs automations for estimate follow-ups, invoices, past-due reminders, texts and email campaigns, and uses SA Payments to batch-charge unpaid accounts.

Service Autopilot's pricing page lists annual subscription rates: Startup at $49 a month (simple scheduling and invoicing, clients and leads, expenses), Pro at $199 a month (adds advanced route optimization, estimates and proposals, GPS and employee tracking), Pro Plus at $499 a month (adds workflow automations, feedback surveys, marketing campaigns and more user licenses), and Elite by request. Add-ons are priced separately.

  • You want to start free and pay $29 when you start invoicing

Questions contractors ask

Does Redline route my crews?

Not on a map. The scheduling assistant groups visits in the same town, and Optimize proposes moves for the next 7 days to fix overlaps and cluster towns. There's no drive-time, map or GPS. See lawn care scheduling.

Can Redline charge customers automatically?

No. There's no automatic recurring billing and no cards on file. On Solo you invoice each job, the customer pays by card from a pay link, and Redline flags anyone overdue at day 3, 7 and 14.

Can I book the whole mowing season at once?

Yes. Book the first visit, set it to repeat weekly or every 2 weeks, and one save fills in the series (up to 52 visits). Save the cadence as a preset to reuse it. See recurring jobs.

Does Redline send texts or automated reminders?

No. Redline doesn't text and doesn't email customers on its own. It drafts emails you approve, sent from your Gmail. See Service Autopilot alternatives for other options.
