Redline
Remodeling CRM

"Next spring" is a real lead.

Half the kitchen leads you meet aren't ready. They're saving, or waiting for a bonus, or they want to see the bath you did for their neighbor first. Redline keeps them on file with a date to call, and brings last year's bathroom client back up when it's time to talk about the kitchen.

Working a remodeler's long list

  1. Log the lead with the real timeline

"Priya Raman, Natick, kitchen next spring, budget around $60k, met at the home show." Redline proposes the contact with the details in the notes.

  2. Put a date on the not-yets

"Not ready until spring" goes in her notes, and a reminder for January lands in your morning push that day.

  3. Book the design visit when they're ready

The design visit is an Estimate event on the calendar. Move the job to Quoted when you send the numbers.

  4. Past clients, next project

The couple who did the hall bath last year has a kitchen in their future. A reminder a year out, a short note from your Gmail, and you're the first call.

  5. Track where the work comes from

Home show, the designer you work with, the neighbor who saw your sign. Note the source on every lead and you'll know where next year's marketing goes.

Monday after the home show

Add 3 home show leads. Priya Raman, Natick, kitchen next spring, around $60k. Tom and Lisa Grady, Wellesley, primary bath this summer. Dev Shah, Natick, basement, just looking. Remind me in January about Priya.
Redline

Ready to add 3 leads, source home show and timeline in the notes: Priya Raman (kitchen, next spring), Tom and Lisa Grady (primary bath, summer), Dev Shah (basement, just looking). Confirm?

Once they're in I'll set the January reminder for Priya. Want to book a design visit with the Gradys?

Confirm. Gradys Thursday at 6pm.
Redline

Added. Reminder set for January 6: call Priya Raman about the kitchen. Grady design visit booked Thursday 6:00.

New contacts wait for your OK. Reminders arrive in the iPhone app's morning push.

What a remodeler's CRM needs to hold

The budget they mentioned

"Around $60k" in the notes is the difference between a design visit and a polite no. It's there when you call in January.

Inspiration photos

The kitchen photos they sent you, dropped into Quick-Sort and filed to their contact, ready for the design visit.

Quotes still deciding

Days in Quoted show on every pipeline card. Long decisions are normal; see remodeling estimates for follow-up.

Past clients by project

Paid jobs stay on file with photos. The client who did a bath is the easiest kitchen lead you'll get.

Most remodel leads are early

A remodeler who only works leads that want to start next month throws away most of what the home show and the website bring in. The rest are real, just early. The problem is that "call me in the spring" written on the back of a card is gone by spring.

Redline gives each early lead a file, the timeline in the notes, and a dated reminder. When January comes, the reminder shows up in your morning push and her file still has the notes, the budget and the photos, so the call picks up where the home show left off.

Questions contractors ask

Can I see all my not-yet leads at once?

Ask Redline "which leads said next spring?" and it lists them from their notes. The Leads filter in Contacts shows every lead in one list, and Quiet shows the people you haven't been in touch with for a while.

Do the reminders need the app?

Reminders are delivered in the morning push, which needs the iPhone app. You can also ask "what reminders do I have this week?" in the chat.

Can I keep my designer or architect as a contact?

Yes. Add them as a contact and note on each lead who sent it, so you can see who sends work. Redline doesn't track referral fees.
