Emails from your address. Drafted for you.
Customers trust mail that comes from you, not from a no-reply address. Connect Gmail once and Redline drafts follow-ups, payment reminders and the email that carries your pay link, and sends each one from your own address after you read and approve it. It's send-only by design: Redline can't see what's in your inbox.
A follow-up that would have waited until Sunday
Subject: Your fence quote
Hi Linh, just following up on the cedar privacy fence quote. If you'd like to go ahead, let me know by Friday and we can start the week of the 20th. Happy to answer any questions.
Thanks, Dave
Ready to review. Tap Approve & send to email it from your Gmail.
Nothing is sent until you tap Approve & send. Then it goes out from your Gmail and is logged on Linh's file.
How it works
Connect Gmail
In Settings, under Integrations. Redline asks Google for two things only: permission to send mail, and your email address.
Ask for a draft
Tell the chat who and what, or open the email composer and use its AI write helper.
Read it, then send
Check the wording, or ask the chat to change it. When you approve, it goes out from your Gmail address.
It's on their file
Every sent email is logged to the customer's activity and shows in their Emails tab. See contacts.
What goes out through your Gmail
Follow-ups and quotes
Chase a quiet quote, confirm a start date, or walk a customer through good, better and best. See quotes and estimates.
Invoices with a pay link
On Solo and up, copy the card pay link from the invoice in Money, paste it into a drafted email, and it goes out from your address. See invoicing.
Payment reminders
When an invoice is late, ask for a reminder and send it yourself. Redline never emails a customer on its own. See overdue alerts.
Team invites
On Team and up, invite links can be emailed from your Gmail as well as copied.
Your sign-off, remembered
Tell it once how you sign emails and it uses that from then on. See memory.
No Gmail yet?
Emails are still recorded in Redline, but they aren't delivered until you connect Gmail.
Straight answers before you switch
Redline does
- Send from your own Gmail address
- Draft emails by chat or with the composer's write helper
- Wait for your approval on every email
- Log sent emails to the customer's file
Redline doesn't
- Read, sync or sort your inbox
- Show customer replies in the app (they land in Gmail)
- Work with Outlook or other email providers
- Send bulk or marketing email
- Text customers
Questions contractors ask
Can Redline read my email?
No. Connecting Gmail only grants permission to send mail and see your address. Redline can't open, read or search your inbox.
Where do customer replies go?
To your Gmail inbox, like any email you send. Redline's Emails tab shows only what you sent or drafted through Redline.
I use Outlook. Can I connect it?
Not today. Gmail is the only email connection.
Which plan includes email?
Every plan, Free included. Emailing invoices needs Solo, because invoices do. See pricing.
Clear the follow-ups you've been putting off.
Start on Free, connect Gmail and ask Redline for your first draft.
