Redline vs Thryv: the jobs, without the marketing suite.
Thryv sells one bundle for a local business: CRM, scheduling, estimates and invoices, plus reviews, marketing campaigns and a messaging inbox. Redline sticks to running the jobs, by chat, and its Free plan covers contacts, the pipeline, the calendar and quotes for $0. If you want your reviews and marketing in the same subscription, Thryv is built for that.
The short version
Redline doesn't try to market you. There are no review requests, campaigns or texting. What it does is keep the job side tight: every lead in a pipeline, every visit on a calendar that groups by town, quotes drafted by message, and a free Pro Page where homeowners can send a quote request. Solo at $29 a month adds invoices and card pay links; Team adds crew dispatch.
Thryv is all-in-one small business software for local service businesses, with plan pages for contractors and roofers. It covers a customer database, scheduling with online booking and automatic appointment reminders, digital estimates customers approve and convert to invoices, payments, a client portal, review monitoring and replies, and marketing campaigns. Its Command Center is a messaging inbox that pulls channels into one place.
Thryv prices its plans per location. We found more than one set of prices on Thryv's site and couldn't confirm which is current, so we don't list them here; see Thryv's pricing page. Thryv does offer a free tier of Command Center, but that's the messaging inbox, not the business software with the CRM, scheduling and estimates.
Monday morning, roof leads from the weekend
Three:
Gail Porter, Quincy, roof leak over the kitchen (Pro Page request, Saturday)
Tom Reyes, Braintree, wants a gutter replacement price
Ann Kwan, Milton, missing shingles after the wind
Tuesday 8am is first: you're in Quincy at 10 for the Doyle tear-off. Then Wednesday 3pm or Thursday 9am. Book Tuesday?
Pro Page quote requests land in Contacts as leads. Free reveals 3 a month; paid plans reveal all of them.

Questions contractors ask
Is Thryv free?
Part of it. Thryv's Command Center inbox has a free tier. The software with the CRM, scheduling, estimates and invoices is paid; see Thryv's pricing page. Redline's Free plan includes the CRM, pipeline, calendar and quotes, and invoicing starts on Solo at $29 a month.
Does Redline handle reviews?
No. Redline has no review requests, ratings or review monitoring, and Pro Pages don't show reviews. If reviews drive your leads, Thryv covers that and Redline doesn't.
Does Redline text customers or send appointment reminders?
No. Redline doesn't text, and nothing goes to a customer automatically. Calling is one tap through your phone's dialer, and emails go from your own Gmail after you approve them. See email from your Gmail.
Do I need a sales call to start Redline?
No. Prices are on the pricing page and you can sign up and start on Free. Crews of 11 or more can book a call to talk it through. See Thryv alternatives for other options.
