Verbal opt-in (in person or by phone)

When a customer books a job in person or over the phone, the contractor collects the same optional consent verbally, using this script:

Contractor: “If you'd like, my business, [Business Name], can text you your invoice with a secure payment link, your receipt, and payment reminders. It's optional — if you'd rather not, you'll get everything by email instead. Message frequency varies with your job, typically one to five messages. Message and data rates may apply. You can get help at any time by replying HELP, or opt out completely by replying STOP. Would you like these texts?”

Customer: “Yes, please.”

Contractor: “Great — you’ll get a text from [Business Name] when your invoice is ready.”

The customer's yes is recorded on their contact record in Redline before any message is sent. If the customer declines, no texts are sent and the job proceeds normally.

Program details

Sender: the contracting business the customer hired — every message begins with that business's name. Redline (Redline Web Services LLC) is the software platform that delivers the messages on the contractor's behalf and manages this opt-in program.
Program: transactional job & payment updates only — invoices with payment links, receipts, payment reminders.
Message frequency: varies with the job — typically 1–5 messages per job. No recurring campaigns, no marketing.
Message & data rates may apply.
Opt out: reply STOP to any message. Opted-out numbers receive no further texts.

All messages are transactional and relate solely to the customer's own job with the business they hired. Redline creates all message content from platform templates; contractors cannot author or alter messages. No marketing.
